Anglo-American designer Marina Ignarski grew up in the bustling cities of Hong Kong and London. She studied at London College of Fashion and the University of the West of England, where she earned a 2:1 degree in Fashion and Textile Design. In September 2018 Marina completed a Masters Degree in Critical Creative Practice from Southampton Solent University. She also has a PGCE in Design and Technology from UWE.

In 2009 Marina interned at Anna Sui in New York, and inspired by this set up Marina Ignarski Designs in 2010. Initially as a textile print business, she later produced and sold textile designs and original artwork.

Marina gained industry experience whilst working as a freelance textile designer for Jocasta Bullock Design Studio who’s contacts include Alice and Olivia, Donna Karen and Diane Von Furstingberg. In 2013 Marina exhibited at Indigo trade show in New York under Marina Ignarski Designs.

Following on from her Masters Degree fashion show, Marina set up her own fashion label, Marina Ignarski in September 2018 with the aim to produce luxury ‘slow fashion’ promoting ethical fashion from sustainable fabrics and recycling. Drawn by the exhibition Fashioned from Nature at the V&A , Marina is currently researching into the use of Mycelium and pineapple fibre in fashion for her next collection.
